Regional Motorsport Park
ViaStrada Nelson office was engaged to obtain multiple resource consents and to manage the planning process for a proposed regional Nelson motorsport park. The park is located on a 250 ha rural site at Stanley Brook, between Murchison and Richmond. Key features include NZ’s longest drag strip; grand prix circuit; motocross circuit; jet ski lake; rally circuit; mountain bike park and tracks; camp ground; conference centre; accommodation; vehicle museum; luge; confidence course; 2 helipads; airfield; and a trauma centre. In addition to motorsport and recreational activities, it is anticipated the park will be used for specialist driver training and vehicle testing.
