Selwyn District Plan Review

Project Objective: 
Review the District Plan transport provisions and align them with Council's strategic direction.

The Selwyn District Council (SDC) proposes to revise the District Plan's transport provisions to ensure they reflect the strategic direction of Council. Recent updates and amendments to national and regional policy documents will also be reviewed.

ViaStrada has been commissioned to review the Plan and prepare the resulting Plan Change.

Central Plains Water Application

Project Objective: 
85,000 ha Irrigation Scheme

The task was to audit the applications by Central Plains Water to establish an 85,000 hectare irrigation scheme drawing water from the Rakai and Waimakariri Rivers.

Hanmer Plan Change

Project Objective: 
To assist in the preparation of a plan change to convert rural land into residential

Birdlings Flat Gem and Fossil Museum, Banks Peninsula

Project Objective: 
To assess a proposed Museum in terms of traffic related effects.

A proposed small scale gem and fossil museum in Birdlings Flat, a beach popular with rock collectors, generated much interest from neighbours. An assessment was required in terms of the policies, objectives and rules of the District Plan and impacts on the surrounding road network.
