Regional Motorsport Park

Project Objective:

Trust Power Wairau River Hydro Electric Scheme

Project Objective: 
Provide expert advice in respect of an appeal on the granting of over 200 consents for an hydroelectric power scheme

The ViaStrada Nelson office was engaged to provide expert planning advice in respect of an appeal on the granting of over 200 consents for an hydroelectric power scheme. Council consents were granted and these were appealed, with the appellants seeking to have consent declined. Staff from ViaStrada's Nelson office were engaged by Marlborough District Council to provide expert planning evidence to the Environment Court in support of Council's decision.

Nelson Cycle Trail

Project Objective: 
Obtain land use consents for a Nelson regional cycle trail

ViaStrada Nelson was selected from a competitive bid process to assist with obtaining all necessary resource consents for the Nelson Cycle Trail.  This trail is part of the Government’s national cycle trails programme, and is designed as a circular route taking in spectacular coastal and back-country of the Nelson region.

Picton airpark

Project Objective: 
Obtain land use and subdivision consent for tourist facilities, storage facilities and 16 residential aviation lots

ViaStrada Nelson obtained land use and subdivision consent to establish an airpark and residential development at Picton Airport. ViaStrada completed the resource consent application and provided support throughout the consent process. The consent obtained enables the development of 16 residential homes, each with access to an aircraft hanger, a boat storage area and also provides for tourist offices to be established on the site.

Cathedral Square signage

Project Objective: 
To prepare and obtain a land use consent for signage on the Grant Thornton Building in Cathedral Square

Did you know that the Christchurch City Plan requires Resource Consent for any new outdoor advertising on buildings that adjoin Important Open Spaces such as the Christchurch Cathedral Square?

Doctors on Riccarton - Resource Consent Approval

Project Objective: 
To prepare and obtain a land use consent for an expansion to the existing Doctors on Riccarton Medical Facility

ViaStrada prepared and lodged a resource consent application for the expansion of the existing Doctors on Riccarton medical facility into a Living zone at 183 Riccarton Road. The Council issued resource consent in September 2010 on a non-notified basis (i.e. without the need for limited or public notification, and without the need for a Council hearing).

Westfield Riccarton Billboard

Comprehensive Residential Development

Project Objective: 
Obtain land use and subdivision consent from Selwyn District Council for 17 residential units as a Comprehensive Residential Development in Prebbleton.

ViaStrada’s planners and traffic planners assisted Akaroa Orchards Ltd to obtain consent for a comprehensive residential development in the L1A5 (Deferred) zone at  Prebbleton. The consents obtained enabled development of the first 9 residential units straight away, with subsequent development occurring as further sewer capacity becomes available. The consent also allowed for the continued operation of an existing plant nursery on the site until the commencement of Stage 2.

Marsden Park

Project Objective:

ViaStrada's Nelson office was the principal RMA and planning advisor for the 600 lot Marsden Park development in Nelson. This development, located in Marsden Valley, has been designed around urban design principles, and features a new commercial centre and a mix of housing densities. Development of the first stage (130 lots) is underway and sections will be available soon.
