Biography

Tony is the director of the Nelson office, established in 2009.

Tony has an extensive background in large multi-disciplinary consultancies and council manager, which means he can draw on his 17 years of experience when advising clients. His planning experience includes advice to Government Ministries on policy development; process management of resource consents and plan changes for major projects such as shopping complexes and major subdivisions; preparing designations for network utility operators; writing district and regional plans; processing consents for Councils; writing submissions; and being involved in Council and Court hearings as Council planning advisor and as independenet expert witness. Tony is also an accredited hearings commissioner.

Tony is also one of the few planners who can also claim to have personally been through the whole RMA process, as an applicant, submitter, and appellant. This has given him a complete understanding of the entire planning process, and a strong client focus.
