National Cycleway
ViaStrada welcomes Government's announcement of a $50 million fund for National Cycleway initiatives. ViaStrada is uniquely placed to assist with the planning, design and implementation of components of the National Cycleway. We are NZ's experts on cycling infrastructure. We would be more than happy to assist project sponsors with any of their planning and design needs.

Auckland Learning Quarter cycling study
Auckland City Council (ACC) engaged ViaStrada to undertake a comprehensive cycling review for the "Learning Quarter", the campus area of the University of Auckland and the Auckland University of Technology (AUT), in the Auckland CBD.

Avonhead Road - resource consent approval
ViaStrada staff prepared and lodged a resource consent application (which included noise and traffic assessments) on behalf of Annabel's Educare for a 75 child pre-school on an existing residential property in suburban Christchurch.

NZ Cycling Conf 2009: Call for Presentations
The 7th New Zealand Cycling Conference will be held on 12 & 13 November 2009 (Thursday & Friday) in New Plymouth. Presentations are now being called for from sector professionals, policy makers, advocates, elected representatives, researchers and other interested people.

Training Courses
Fundamentals of Planning and Design for Walking - new course
ViaStrada has been commissioned by NZTA to administer the walking fundamentals, and deliver some of them. Courses will be held around the country over the next six months. By mid July, courses will have been delivered in Auckland (x2), Christchurch, Wellington and Palmerston North.

Fundamentals of Planning and Design for Cycling - Auckland
Auckland - Thursday 20 August 2009
ViaStrada runs a series of award-winning one-day courses to introduce the principles of planning and design for cycling in New Zealand. Developed in conjunction with the NZ Transport Agency to meet the needs of the NZ transportation industry. An early bird discount is available for registrations received on or before Thurs 30 July 09.
