Royal meetingIt's all a bit hush hush, but we've just signed a contract where our contractual partner is acting for Her Majesty the Queen. Can we thus say that we work "by royal appointment"? Maybe Jon's previous meeting has helped our case.

** STOP PRESS - CNG WORK RECEIVES HIGHLY COMMENDED AWARD **

CNG team membersFinalists were recently announced for New Zealand's 2017 Bike to the Future awards, and ViaStrada are excited to feature on the list! We worked with Abley Transportation Consultants on the Cycling Network Guidance project, which is a finalist for the Innovation Hub Award. The winners will be announced at the Asia-Pacific Cycle Congress awards dinner in Christchurch on 19 October.

Trafinz logoDuring 2017, ViaStrada joined Trafinz, the New Zealand Local Authority Traffic Institute. Whilst we obviously aren't a local authority, Trafinz is a principal champion for road safety initiatives, and that makes them a logical partner for us. The snag, however, has always been that their corporate membership fees were affordable only for large corporates. We pointed this out to them and they very swiftly added a membership class for smaller outfits. Good on them, and we are now a happy new member.

The ViaStrada team (Helen is missing)On 19 June 2017, the ViaStrada team met for breakfast before riding the Papanui Parallel, one of the Major Cycle Routes under construction. We last checked out the route as a team in December 2015 when it was just an idea; now it's almost there. Great to see!
